Trevor Longino, Director of PR

About: Trevor is an Internet marketer and PR guy who's worked in the industry since 2002. In organizations as small a single entrepreneur and as large as a university that employs thousands, he's kept himself busy marketing, designing, and writing up a storm. Currently running a marketing and pr consultancy, he specializes in social media PR, email marketing, and writing internet-optimized text that's still human-readable. In past jobs, he has been (or more or less reverse order) a: marketing director, communications director, copywriter, video game tester, photographer, graphic designer, and short-order cook.
Companies: Longino Consulting, OvernightPR
Why doterati: I've been volunteering in my community for much of my life and am currently assisting two other charities besides doterati. When I looked around and thought about helping more than my geographic community, it seemed to me that doterati serves a community of people with whom I can identify: smart, driven people who understand technology and want to use it to improve communications. Doterati is about education, ideas, and networking, all of which were initial founding goals of the Internet, and I'm glad to help doterati get the word out to the community at large that we're here to help them learn and explore the crazy bustling frontier of the Internet.
